Denise Muhuza is a highly skilled insurance professional with a strong academic and professional foundation in risk management and insurance. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management & Insurance, complemented by a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Level 3 Certificate, as well as a Professional Foundation Certificate from the African Leadership University (ALU) in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation.
Denise brings a wealth of practical experience in the insurance and financial services sector. She served as a Corporate Underwriter at SanlamAllianz Life Insurance for three years, where she was responsible for underwriting corporate risk portfolios, assessing complex insurance proposals, and supporting business growth through sound risk evaluation. She further strengthened her expertise while working as a Principal Insurance Officer at AB Bank Rwanda, where she played a key role in managing insurance operations, client advisory, and risk mitigation strategies within the banking environment.
Currently, Denise serves as Retrocession and Facultative Business Manager at Reinsurance Brokerage Solutions (RBS). In this role, she is actively involved in structuring reinsurance placements, negotiating facultative covers, and developing innovative risk transfer solutions tailored to client needs. Her work contributes significantly to strengthening RBS’s position in the regional reinsurance market.
